why do they do that? Americans on the move. You've probably noticed that Americans tend to move around a great deal during their lives. This begins young, often right after high school, with the first separation from a person's family. It's a tradition for young people to move away from their hometowns to do the college, but even if they decide not to continue their education, young Americans usually get a job and move out of their parents's home after high school graduation.
